Monday, May 15, 2011 Keeping alive the tradition of Parthi Yatra, 185 devotees from Chennai Metro North have embarked on a pilgrimage to Prasanthi Nilayam, the abode of peace to pay homage to their Beloved Lord from 13th to 15th May 2011. Meanwhile all festivals continue to be celebrated in Prasanthi Nilayam. Buddha Purnima which falls on the full moon night in the month of Vaisakha, commemorates the birth anniversary and Maha Samadhi of Lord Buddha, founder of Buddhism will be celebrated on the 17th and 18th May 2011.
