The restlessness (ashanthi) in which man is immersed has to be curbed. That is what is meant by the declaration parithraanaaya saadhoonam - 'the saving of the good'; the saving of individual beings from the tentacles of restlessness caused by want of knowledge, of the relative unimportance of worldly things. All beings must get peace and true happiness; that is the mission on which the Lord comes again and again on this earth. The gifts of reason and conscience must not be wasted through neglect. You ignore the Divinity that you really are and waste the opportunity to unfold it.
