04-04-2011 This morning's bulletin by Director, *SSSIHMS, Prasanthigram reads as follows: (4th April 2011) Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba who was admitted in the hospital on the 28th March continued to show improvement in His clinical condition. He is still on assisted ventilation and on kidney support through CRRT, which is a process of slow dialysis.   All other clinical parameters are nearly normal. Venkataraman At the outset, I would like to offer humble Pranaams at the Lotus Feet of our Dear Lord Sai. Loving Sai Ram and greetings from Prasanthi Nilayam. As I am writing this, it is about seven thirty in the evening of Sunday, April 3, 2011. I returned from the hospital a short while ago and I would now like to give you not only an update regarding Swami's health but also take the opportunity to share a few pertinent thoughts. Later in the week, I hope I can do a full Musings on the recent hospitalisation of Bhagawan. First, the news. I have been visiting the hospital regularly ever since Swami was first admitted a few days ago. This evening as I went upstairs, I found for the first time not only fewer people present but also a tension-free and relaxed atmosphere. That straight away meant that all was well and that there was absolutely no room for any kind of anxiety. Just to make doubly sure, I talked briefly to Dr. Safaya who said, "Good progress is being maintained, all vital parameters are completely under control, and there is absolutely no room for any anxiety." A little later, Mr. Chakravarthi came out and he too confirmed every bit of the good news. I therefore most earnestly appeal to all devotees to pay attention to what people in responsible position have to say and not go by what they hear via e-mails, text messages, tweets, and so on...continue reading        Get Well Soon! IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT  Posted on April 3, 2011 at 09:30 p.m. Official Statement about Swami's Health issued at 5.30 p.m. (IST) Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba who has been admitted in the hospital for the last 5 days is responding to the treatment given to him quite effectively. He is still on assisted ventilation to help his respiratory system and is breathing more easily now. He had a hemodialysis in the morning. The panel of specialists, monitoring all his vital functions including his kidneys, and are satisfied with his response to treatment. Today a team of specialists deputed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh also went through the processes of treatment rendered to him and had a detailed and fruitful discussion with the panel of specialists treating Bhagawan Baba. IST Latest information received from SSSIHMS, Prasanthigram reads as follows: Bhagawan is admitted to this hospital on 28th Mar 2011 and had implantation of pacemaker in the heart. He is on ventilator support for assisting the respiration. Dialysis is being done to assist His kidney function. The team of doctors attending on Him is satisfied with the response to the treatment given. Constant watch is kept on His health condition by the medical team. It is to reiterate that there is no cause for anxiety.      Posted on April 2, 2011 at 12:45 p.m.  (IST) Yesterday late in the night Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, who is admitted in this hospital for treatment, developed difficulty in breathing. He is put on supportive respiratory device. He is now breathing more easily. All other vital systems are functioning normally.
