Sathya Geeta Passes On… Tuesday, January 22nd, 2013

Little Sathya Geeta, Bhagawan's pet elephant that followed the legendary Sai Geeta, breathed her last this morning at 4:30 here in Prasanthi Nilayam. The pachyderm was ailing for the last three weeks and expert specialist veterinarians from Kerala and Tamil Nadu had been brought in to treat the elephant.     She was suffering from Intestinal Volvulus leading to Intestinal Torsion and Colon Impaction. Sathya Geeta was was inducted into Prasanthi Nilayam in July 2007, after the passing away of legendary Sai Geeta in 2007, and was 9.5 years old at the time of passing away.
